TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.
Social Inclusion Outcomes
The program has worked well in engaging students in their local community. They have extended networks within the school, are connected with the SACC and the range of activities and services available. As well they have a positive experience of TAFE and knowledge about VET pathways. There are limited courses in VET for students to articulate to.
